Short answer: Existing SOCSO covers accidents at work and on the commute. LINDUNG 24 Jam covers accidents everywhere else, evenings, weekends, holidays.

Both sit under Act 4 with similar benefit types. The existing Employment Injury Scheme is employer-funded; LINDUNG 24 Jam is employee-funded. An accident is assessed under one scheme or the other, never both. PERKESO cites roughly 13 claims per day rejected in 2025 for being non-work accidents, the gap this scheme closes.
